we are trying to use the new modern webchat interface, but it looks like it is documented only for authentified webchat integrations and not the unauthentified one...
ANybody have any documentation anywhere?
The new appearance is configured as one of the web chat deployment options. It is independent of whether you setup your chat to be authenticated or not. We will update this article to clarify: https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/add-web-chat-deployment/
We are moving towards configuring web chats from within the PureCloud admin interface using web chat deployments. Those are currently the two options available there along with the ability to disable web chat (which requires additional work on the website to make it work).
The only documented deployment of this chat method with coding examples is the authentified one.
I cannot find any reference to the non-authenticated one nowhere...
I haven't been able to make it work either. Using the example popup or embedded code, along with the js snippet provided in the deployment, results in the old look chat window. It's also unclear how one might go about applying a custom CSS theme.
Where are the CSS styles imported/defined?
Modern chat started working randomly with no config or widget/front end code changes in the last 12 hours. Seems like something funny going on with the roll out of this.
Though, still no clue on the custom CSS part.
