Announcement: New widget deployment version 1.1 configuration

As part of releasing new chat APIs, we create a new widget deployment option version 1.1. If you create a widget deployment version 1.1 you will automatically start using the new chat APIs.

If you have an existing website, you will currently need to do the following to change from using existing APIs to the new chat APIs:

  1. Create deployment version 1.1 in the admin UI
  2. On your website, swap the existing deployment script with the new version 1.1 script.
  3. On your website, you must add orgGuid to your chat configuration as specified here https://developer.mypurecloud.com/api/webchat/. We plan to remove the need to specify the full organization ID twice, but as of right now you will need to add it twice as shown.
