Associating follow-up SMS with originating Web Messenger interaction

Is it possible to reference/link agentless SMS notifications to a Web Messenger interaction, so they can both be seen in the Interaction Viewer (Performance > Workspace > Interactions) for the WM interaction?

Context:
We have a Web Messenger journey that concludes by triggering a process that could take hours, so we tell the customer that we'll send a follow-up SMS with the result of said process. However, anyone who views the interaction in the Interaction Viewer in the future would only see us telling the customer that we'll send a follow-up SMS, but not be able to see the SMS we sent the customer. I'd love to be able to link these two, or follow a convention that indicates the conversation didn't end when the WM disconnected.

After asking about I've learned that this isn't possible, the best I can do is link to/from the conversations by putting the URLs/ConversationID in Participant Data.
