AudioHook initiation via api

According to the AudioHook developer documentation the AudioHook session can be established via an API request. What api would be used to initiate the AudioHook?

Thanks,
Paul

Hello,

No, at this time, the audiohook session cannot be established/triggered via an API request.

This introduction was written when the Audiohook project was started and depicts the possible methods that should be made available at some time (across several phases).

Currently, the Audiohook session can only be triggered via configuration, enabling voice transcription in the Queue, or invoking the Transcript action in an Architect flow as it is described in the Use AudioHook Monitor in interaction flows.

We are looking at adding in a 3rd party voice biometrics offering to our product. We only need to capture a few minutes of audio. Is there any way at this time to delay starting the AudioHook?

Based on the documentation our AudioHook server can disconnect the tap when needed, but from what you said it sounds like at minimum I would have to hook the entire time the caller is waiting in queue.

I could pause the audio stream during that wait time, but the per minute charges will still be incurred.

There must be a way to avoid this?

You would handle this with pause/resume messages via the Audiohook protocol.
At this time, it is the only way to work with Audiohook sessions.

You can request new features and share your use case at https://genesyscloud.ideas.aha.io/ .
