Authenticated Web Messenger throwing up console errors and not loading up

Hi good day team. I raised a ticket to support and was asked to open up a thread here. My organizations has setup the openID integration for authenticated webmessenger and the credentials have been validated as well as the well known url in SIT/UAT. However when we turn on the authentication in the configuration, the web messenger does not load up on the page. On the console log we are getting the following error

Error: 404

Response is an error code

Immediately we deactivate the authenticaion in the configuration, the widget loads up fine.
Please assist.
