Capture customer contact for manual outbound call

Hello team,

We want to update the customer number when outbound call is manually placed by the agents and to achieve the same we want to capture the customer contact id when the call is placed by agent.
We went through multiple topics but most of the topics mention outbound callflow. Could you please advise which topic and metric we can use for the above requirement.
