You may still use the depreceated permissions until the end of life date on April 17th, 2019.
Impact:
No sooner than January 23rd, 2019: deprecated permissions will no longer be added to the Admin role by default.
No later than April 24th, 2019: PureCloud Development will migrate permissions marked with an asterisk (*) to equivalent, supported permissions for existing users.
No later than April 16th, 2019: customers must cease to utilize deprecated permissions when creating or updating roles.
They are being deprecated because they do not follow the standard naming structure for permissions. See the list of supported permissions linked above for the permissions you should use instead.
Hi @tim.smith, @Becky_Powell,
Some of these permissions are allocated to default roles like admin or employee.
Will the roles be updated with new permissions to allow maintaining the existing services ?
example, remove General > Employee from the employeee default role, and try to login as an agent with default roles employee and PureCloud User, and the experience is quite different.
I have tested on an org in EMEA Ireland region (just in case the region is relevant)
Hi Tim - I know the current set of permissions are described at https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/products-roles-and-permissions-list/, but if you could provide us with a mapping between deprecated permission and corresponding new permission, that would be great. We can 'guess', but we just want to make sure. Thanks!
Any news on the permission mapping documentation ?
We have several customers with custom roles which were replicating some of the admin role permissions and therefore will need to update accordingly.
Many thanks,
Hi Becky,
Thanks for the update.
If you have the facility, it would be very useful to have the list in text form instead of a picture.
Kind regards,
Jean-Christophe
