Email Delivery Status with SMPT Integration

Wondering if the SMPT integration should support Email Delivery status. We have a couple of customers with SMPT integration for outbound email, and neither of them seem to get delivery status results yet when using the SES we seem to get some delivery status results (not on all emails)

Does Genesys Cloud support delivery status with the outbound SMTP integration. If so does it come back through the SMTP integration, or rely on read receipts/bounced messages or something coming back into the corresponding inbox.
