I do not find any API allowing me to fetch messages of chat conversations. Our customer is deeply in need for that. Please help.
Can you elaborate on what you are looking for? There's internal chat and ACD chat. There are APIs for ACD chat but which ones you should use will depend on what you are trying to achieve. There aren't APIs for internal chat.
I wish to get messages of ACD chat conversations. For example, in the conversation below, I want to get the customer's message "plouf :-)" and any other message coming from the customer or the internal agent:

You would use the recording APIs to retrieve the recordings of ACD chat: https://developer.mypurecloud.com/api/rest/v2/recording/
Those are the same APIs that are used to display the recording of the chat as shown in the screenshot.
