Hi, is it possible to get the id and/or the name of the workflow from within the workflow so it can be used to execute a new instance of the flow? This to bypass the 72 hour timeout limit of workflows.
Sorry, that appears to have been a GPT bot. I'm looking into an answer for your post.
Hi Tim, any updates?
@TBuyukkilic did my suggestion not work? We won't be able to facilitate the idea of constantly re-triggering a workflow as this will be inefficient and put a strain on the Architect flow processes. Really, I was looking of a way to keep this out of the workflow until it is actually needed.
As this is for Work Automation, I suggested changing the status of the workitem after 3 days to be another one that could check if anything has changed and change the status back. So, toggling back and forth until the condition is met. So, Architect is used to validate the situation rather than leaving it in a flow for months.
I did manage to solve it Mark, thanks. But it's still weird that you cannot fetch the id of the flow something went through, would be very useful for debugging.
