How to get ACD call detail

Hello,

Now we just started to develop client Application by usig Java and also I'm not familiar with Genesys Platform API. But let me ask general query.
When ACD call reached to specific an agent, screen pop appears with customer name , kind of queue or others. we want to develp and manage this screen pop by our client Java application. Is this case we need to use Notification API to show call information to an agent, correct?
