Issues with websocket after wifi change

Hi team,

Our developers are currently experiencing the following issue when integrating Genesys WebMessaging API's to their mobile app.

"currently i'm facing a websocket reconnect to genesys problem,

  • when i switch the network, for example from wifiA to wifiB, then the websocket status still open, but actually it cant send/recieve any messages from genesys side.
  • I cant complete close the socket. it will auto close after 1mins.
  • after ws.close, the status only change to closing, not closed.
  • I believed it is because the socket is broken, so cant send message to genesys side.

Is this default behaviour? Is there a way to fix this so that messages can be sent ?

Hello Robert - is this happening across both iOS and Android? are you using a particular WebSocket client or native client?
