Looking for a way to Prevent Erroneous Fax Calls to be terminated before Routing

Hello Architect experts,

Has anyone out there found a way to deduce if an inbound call is coming from a Fax and not attempt to route if TRUE?

We want to but some boolean logic in place in an inbound call script to check if the incoming call is a fax call and if so we would like to disconnect that call.

The reason for this is that we have purchased numbers that I guess historically were fax numbers and they end up driving up our abandonment rate which is one of our core performance KPIs.

Does anyone out there have the means to identify & block faxes before they are routed to agents or calculated as abandoned? Or is my team the only one struggling with this problem?
