Microsoft Teams Integration in Genesys Cloud

We are working on integrating Microsoft Teams in Genesys. We were successfully able to get the Genesys users who also use Teams to show their Teams’ presence and badge. However, we have not been able to bring in the Microsoft Teams only users.

We followed the instructions to map the telephone number and objectid from article Configure the Microsoft Teams integration - Genesys Cloud Resource Center.

We are unsure how to populate UC-only users in Genesys through SCIM. It states placeholder accounts are created for UC-only users through the SCIM sync into Genesys in article Types of users based on login - Genesys Cloud Resource Center but we cannot find instructions showing how to do this.

Does anyone have instructions on how to do this?

Hi Tonya, ordinarily you'd have your Teams/UC-only users provisioned into Genesys Cloud via a separate Enterprise App in Entra/whatever your ID system is. You'd potentially have all the same attribute mappings as your Genesys users, but with the added two you mention. You'd then also want to make sure that the group you sync in for them doesn't have any other roles associated. It's also worth noting that the Teams/UC only users don't need to be scoped in for SSO as they'd never actually log into Genesys. End goal is those users would only end up with the employee role.
