Not receiving data uuidata incoming call

Hi Guys,

I am trying to set the call.uuidata data in participant data and it comes out empty, why? I have activated in the trunk the access to uui data and it is sending the data with the 00.

Can you help me?

Without knowing more about your flows and trunk routing, can you compare the INVITES on both the sending and receiving end? You might also be missing the ;encoding=ascii part.

Hello,

I have the transmitter trace, but I can't see mine from genesys, because the edges are virtual, in byoc cloud.

The sender sends me in the user to user parameter this:

30307c49445355525645597c3a7c303233663033333737346366376335347c3b7c52507c3a7c323030323936377c3b7c534f555243457c3a7c7c3b7c4944434c49454e54457c3a7c7c;encoding=hex;purpose=isdn-uui;content=isdn-uui

is correct, isn't it?

And I in genesys trunk I have uui enabled, in hex.

Is it correct?

On the other hand the sender in the invite has to send me some more data? what it sends is this:

You should still be able to see the receiving pcap trace on an individual interaction. What is your call path please? If you’re going through the PSTN at any part you may find that’s your problem.

Looking at the contents of your outgoing INVITE it looks like you're sending htis call out from a Genesys Engage/on premise platform. What does it pass through after leaving SIP Server before arriving at Genesys Cloud?

Also just to confirm, the trunk configuration you mention in Genesys Cloud is for the OUTGOING behaviour. Architect will look for either of the User-to-User or X-User-to-User headers.

Take a look at one of your interactions that has come into Genesys Cloud and look for the PCAP to download in the Details tab.

Hello,
The call is sent by the client from an onpremise, but by PSTN, so that's the problem?

Yes, it would be extremely rare for UUI Data to be maintained all the way through. Depending on the equipment at each hop of the call, the UUI headers are non-standard and not globally supported. If you want the call to reach Genesys Cloud from Engage with the UUI Data maintained your best bet is to look at configuring a trunk as direct as possible from Engage to BYOC-Cloud - and not passing through the PSTN at all.

If it passes through SBCs that you or your carrier have "control" over then you may be able to do some header transformation/manipulation to ensure it's passed through.

" * If you have remote stations reached by either a BYOC Cloud trunk or BYOC Premises External SIP Trunk with UUI enabled, the other end of the trunk could receive UUI data. If you have a PBX or an SBC on the other end of the trunk, you can receive the UUI data. However, if your remote station is reached through the PSTN, it is unlikely the UUI data will persist through to the station."

Thnx very mucht!
