On demand storage API!

Is there a way to know how much storage a user is consuming on Genesys Cloud through API or any other means ?

Sorry, it took so long to get back to you but with this being the holidays we are lightly staffed on the forum. Would you be able to give me your use case and why you want this information? The reason, I ask is that the three major areas of content a user could contribute to disk storage are: recordings, voicemails, and documents. I looked at their APIs and I do not see a mechanism for doing a query to look at total storage by User. Hence why I am curious about your use case.

I am going to cross-post this to our internal product management group, but the additional details would help. Please be patient as many of our product managers and dev teams are on holiday break.

We have a case where one of our customers is having a storage quote of 325 GB monthly and he is not receiving high volume of calls yet the total monthly storage is above 550 GB, and he is refusing to pay the on-demand invoice unless he knows how much each user consumes monthly.

**P.S, I have compared the total calls and monthly storage with several of our customers and found that, the total monthly storage is way lower than this customer.

Sorry I will have to wait until Monday to talk to our product managers and see what the best way to proceed is. From what I can see on APIs, I do not see any mechanism to break out the user storage based on individual users. I will chat with them on Monday. In the meantime, can you please open a ticket with our CARE Support team and direct message the ticket to me. I will be able to track it with the product managers and make sure it gets resolved.

Thanks for the response. I talked with the development team and the product manager who owns this service and unfortunately, we do not currently support splitting the data out in this way via the APIs. This is the first time they have seen a request to query the data in this way.

At this point, I would recommend you open an Aha ticket in our Ideas portal and our product management team will evaluate it.

I looked at the customer care ticket you provided and it looks like the Care Engineer gave you some ideas on how to retrieve the raw data and do some analysis. Is there any reason why that did not work?

The reason is that, there is no analytics API that provide me such information and the customer care engineer kept directing me to analytics builder or Genesys Ideas portal.
