PureConnect Pause Resume API

Can someone tell me if pause and resume can be performed via an API in PureConnect?

We have the need for a 3rd party application to invoke the pause and resume for call recording

Is that possible? and if so - what API call would that be under?

In addition -Is there anyway to interact with the call recordings via API?
