Question about Contentsquare

I am currently analyzing network logs. Upon reviewing the logs, it appears that requests are being sent to the following two URLs, which are not related to GenesysCloud:

I have some questions:

  1. What roles do these two URLs serve?
  2. Why might requests not be sent to these URLs depending on the situation?
  3. What happens if a response other than 200 OK is returned for requests to these URLs?

Genesys Cloud does use contentsquare. It's a web analytics package and is not related to the functionality of the app. Because it is an internal part of the base product, if you have concerns about it, opening a case with Genesys Cloud Care is the appropriate avenue.

I asked a similar question on the community forum and while I didn't get as full an answer as I'd hoped, this may help you:

@VaunMcCarthy The answer about what we use it for can be answered by reading the marketing slicks on their website. AFAIK we don't do anything with it beyond what it says its for. https://contentsquare.com/

If you have security or privacy concerns, those must be raised via Care. Make sure you specifically state what you believe the violation to be and that you believe it's a breech of the Genesys Cloud Privacy Policy (assuming you have specific concerns and believe the policy is being violated).

I can confirm that contentsquare has gone through our required rigorous architecture, security, legal, and operational readiness review processes that we follow to add any feature to Genesys Cloud. Because we believe the software is compliant (we wouldn't pass compliance audits if it's not), Care is not going to entertain any cases that are simply making speculative assertions. They should work with you if you raise a specific concern with evidence though.
