Scripts- Show/Hide Button based on Data Action Response

I would like to know if I can show or hide (enable/disable) a button in the script based on the response from Data Action Web Service?

Buttons have a Disabled property under the Advanced heading that allows you to use a variable to control the enabled state. Your data action can set a variable used by the button.

Can I insert text component/ or set of components based on button click from the agent?
In other words, each time the agent click on this button, a text field will be added/inserted in the page?
