Search for External Contact With Custom Field

Hello,

Is there any API that search with any custom field for external contacts is possible?

I saw GET /api/v2/externalcontacts/contacts API which you can query with any keyword, however I need to specify the custom field to be searched for external contacts.

You can search the values of a custom field, but there's not a filter for the presence of the field itself. I browsed some of the search and analytics APIs and did not see the custom fields of external contacts targeted there either.
You can suggest this as a new feature in the Ideas portal
