Sending and receiving file attachments in bot flows

Hello, I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere, so I must assume it's not supported, but I thought I should ask anyway. We have several customers that have use cases that involve sending files to or receiving them from a (digital) bot flow. Typical use cases:

  • Bot request visitor to send an image of his or her ID
  • Visitor requests an invoice
  • Visitor requests a PDF brochure
  • and so forth

Our customers don't consider a good user experience to send their visitors over to a web page to fill out a form to send a file, or for the bot to send a link to the visitor to fetch a file.

Any thoughts? Anyone have come accross the same requests from their customers, or had a chance to experiment with this?

Apologies for the delay in replying. You are correct that sending and receiving files is currently not supported. There is some support for images in a digital bot flow.
