Sending Progressive Dialer Attempt Information to Salesforce

We are currently using Salesforce as our CRM and progressive dialers within PC. When an outbound dialer call is connected and sent to an agent in salesforce via the CTI integration we will be able to save a call log and update our salesforce records.

When we make outbound dialer attempts and there is no connection (voicemail, busy etc) there is no record passed to salesforce and therefore no update to our salesforce records to let us know the record was attempted and X was the outcome.

I can wait until midnight for the sync to update and tell me the last attempted time and outcome, but is there a way to push a payload to Salesforce in real time to let me know all the details about the interaction?

The only thought i have on this would be to use a data action in a post call rule. Info on data actions in rules can be found here: https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/use-a-rule-condition-to-evaluate-information-from-a-data-action/
