'Tel:' Links & Genesys Cloud Browser Extension

My users are having issues where the tel: links on certain webpages don't trigger calls from the Genesys Cloud browser extension. It works on some webpages but not others.

In the instances where it doesn't work, the browser will prompt the user to select an application to handle the tel: protocol (which opens the typical "How do you want to open this?" Windows prompt), rather the intended action of the number being dialed to via the extension.

On the user side the working and non-working links can be formatted identically and still be handled differently in the browser, as far as I can tell. On the backend the non-working links are served via Angular (on our pages at least).

Are there any guidelines regarding how these tel: links should be formatted in order for the Genesys Cloud extension to handle them?
