Unable to download voicemails files with client credentials

hi all,
I need to download voicemail messages from certain mailboxes and then send them on to somewhere else (such as with FTP).
i read the document here but it also confirms that this works only with implicit grant.

This is a big problem as this is an unattended script so I have to use client credentials. Is it is really true that a client credential script is unable to download these voicemail messages? I need to download voicemails from multiple boxes automatically without any user involvement which seems to be impossible with the current way of the voicemail API.

And on the roadmap to be tentatively completed the end of October.
So they'll start looking at it sometime after then. Theoretically.
