Understanding the App Foundry

Trying to understand the App Foundry.

I have written a number of things using the REST api/platform SDK for Purecloud ( also for PureConnect ) and also some bridge connector / Datadip server based applications which are/were deployed and used by customers

The business has some ideas for the App Foundry. It has asked me to look into end to end how to get an app or several apps into the App Foundry and how that works in terms of development requirements, hosting, licensing revenue/billing. Basically what are the requirements, who hosts what / where, how we get money, who does the billing. Also the CX on deploying and using the app and the level of support needed for that.

I've looked over this form,
https://genesyspartner.force.com/partner/marketplaceapplication

On that form there is a number of things I would like to be decoded for me. Such as

"Application Type" - Which gives options such as "Core Integratiom", "Extension", "Embedded", "Accessory", "Hardware".

"Application Sales Type" which gives a number of options with percentages.

I've spent some time poring over the applications current in the app foundry and reading some basic info.

https://appfoundry.genesys.com/#/about

I am, frankly, very confused right now. I am hoping to be directed to some webinars or white papers to get me up to speed or an overview of the process(s) and who does what or a good place to start.

Any help to get me on track much appreciated.

@Brian_Higgins - For PureCloud we essentially have 2 models (selling on your paper or ours). Any solution built for PureCloud will need to be hosted by Wren Data (can be AWS, Azure, Google whatever). Please reach out to me (zachary.hinkle@genesys.com) so we can start discussing ideas for AppFoundry listings. I'd be happy to clarify getting going with AppFoundry from a development and commercial perspective.
