Web Messaging - How to Add buttons or Carousel

Hi, is there anybody who can hel how to add buttons or Carousel in genesys web messaging?
Is it configurable in genesys or is it possible in frontend customization

Hi there. We have links in our Web Messaging landing page to help you navigate to corresponding sections: please check the "Work with bots in message interactions" section.
You will need to use a Bot to generate the necessary message structure that sends Buttons and Carousels.

So we need to install any of these bots applications for buttons and carousels to be activated?

  • Amazon Lex v1
  • Google Dialogflow ES
  • Google Dialogflow CX
  • Bot Connector

At the moment:

  • Quick Reply buttons are available across all Bots (both Genesys Digital Bots and 3rd Party)
  • Cards and Carousels are available with 3rd Party Bots, while there is ongoing work to enable also for Genesys Digital Bots

Really regrettable that one can only use cards via Bot flows.

The Work with quick replies page lists the supported bots and the supported channel targets. One of the latter is

  • Genesys Web Messenger
    However, using the Messenger Transport Mobile SDK doesn't seem to support it even though it sort of sits under Web messaging and Messenger.
    Are there plans to add this capability and cards etc. to this SDK?
    Any time lines?

That's correct: Quick Replies are available with Web Messenger only for now. We'll be adding support to Mobile Messenger in coming months, no firm ETA yet. Same is true for Cards and Carousels.
