Can the Webchat widget v2 keep the history of the conversation cached on the client side ? so the client can retieve the chat history which will avoid having to re-explain the subject to a second agent.

This should be the default behavior.

Do you have an idea of how long this session will be cached ?
if the cutomer ends the interaction and close the chat window, the cache will not be available in this case, right ?

That depends on the customer's browser. There are many different browsers that handle session data in many different ways. If they do not have session data, they will be unable to reconnect. Generally, the chat reconnect timeout is 5 minutes.
