Tim, I can add more context to it.

Context: Deploying V2 Chatwidget in the Logged in section of a website;

The website team thinks as its a Public facing website if the widget fetches all the Customer details from the Website and then submit directly to Purecloud it might be a Security risk. Sothey want to understand if we can direct that call from the Widget through APIM into Purecloud. or is there a document or link that provides detils around the security between V2 Widget and Purecloud.

If the widget doesn't work for you, the Guest Chat APIs can be used to build your own web chat implementation using whatever technologies you have that are capable of making the API requests and maintaining a WebSocket.
