Agentless SMS 'test mode' (don't send the SMS) to integration with bulk run of customer data?

Hi All,

We are looking at using the Agentless SMS API to send a bulk batch of text messages from another system, and wanted to double check if there way to test the integration with a bulk run of customer data without actually sending the SMS?

After looking through the doco, there doesn't appear to be any form of built in mechanism or flag that could be used (at least not publicly advertised).

Otherwise I'd imagine we'd have to just modify the customer data to a known mobile/cell number and receive them all? Or is there a target dummy number that can be used that Genesys knows is just for testing and won't actually trigger an SMS at the carrier side?

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Jeff,
There isn’t really a built in mechanism to run agentless to a test number like you are envisioning. You could use a known cell number as you said. Or instead you could use other provisioned number(s) in your org to send the agentless messages to. In this way you could even setup the to number to go to an architect flow and take various actions you desire and act like a real end customer for example. Then you control both sides of the conversation in your tests. Hope this helps.
