The PEF application (Pure Embeddable Framework), by default invokes a "diagnostic/trace" API ("https://api.mypurecloud.com/api/v2/diagnostics/trace "), but unfortunately it trace following error:
App not authorized to use scope [diagnostic]
There isn't any "diagnostic" scope from the Genesys Admin.
Looking in the other Topics, seems that is enough adding "authorization" and "organization" to fix it.
I tried with all of them (readonly as well) but without success.
Any suggestion to remove the error from the network?
Please open a case with Genesys Cloud Care if the out of the box client is malfunctioning.
Hi Tim,
Is there any known workaround for this? We're currently trying to evaluate/POC the WebRTC SDK and this has stopped our progress.
Hi @tschroeder , I would recommend you open a case with Genesys Cloud Care to report this issue. Thanks!
There is another post (here below) where Genesys states it is an internal [diagnostic] scope:
I have two questions about scopes in WebRTC SDK:
In the documentation for scopes for WebRTC SDK, https://developer.genesys.cloud/api/webrtcsdk/#app-authorization , it says it needs authorization and organization scopes. Not the read-only variants, it needs the read / write scopes. Are these correct? It seems like a lot of power to be giving to a softphone. We'd like to limit what clients do to the bare minimum needed to make our application work.
The SDK makes a request to /api/v2/diagnost…
the post also states that Genesys is aware of this scope and admits it should be exposed in a better way or should default it to disabled.
