If you are using Archy 2.26.0, please continue reading, otherwise this post is not applicable.
Problem
We discovered an issue with Archy version 2.26.0
where upgrading or downgrading to a new version of Archy that is not currently installed on the machine where Archy is running would successfully download the requested version, but would not be executable.
This version is no longer available.
What to do if you are using Archy version 2.26.0
Anyone who is currently on this version is advised to move to an older version of Archy, such as 2.25.0
as that is the most recent release prior to the 2.26.0
or another locally installed version.
Downgrading Archy to a locally installed version
The following steps show how to downgrade to an older locally installed version of Archy via the command line.
- Run
archy version list
, as this will show all available versions of Archy. For example here:
* 2.26.0
- 2.25.0
- 2.24.1
- 2.24.0
- 2.23.1
- 2.23.0
- 2.22.1
2.22.0
In the *
shows the current version and the -
shows locally installed versions. If there is no mark next to the version this means that it is not installed locally. You only want to install a version of Archy that is local to the machine. If there are no other locally installed versions go to the Manual reinstall
section below.
- Next you will want to choose a version of Archy that has the
-
next to it. You will then want to run the commandarchy version {VERSION}
where{VERSION}
is the locally installed version.
For example:
archy version 2.25.0
Archy will then use the locally installed version 2.25.0 and it will be set as the current version.
Manual reinstall
To manually reinstall the latest version of Archy, currently 2.25.0, you can use the following links:
And then follow the install docs on the Archy developer center page - https://developer.genesys.cloud/devapps/archy/install
If there are any questions, please ask here in the forum post.
