CEFSharp lack of support for Azure conditional access policy

However my problem is with the Genesys Desktop application. If my limited understanding is correct, the desktop application is written in CEFSharp to get the embedded Chromium browser. But it also appears that CEF does not support conditional access policies set in Azure so wherever SSO is on and a policy is enforced, authentication fails.

Has anybody come across this before in maybe other development work and found a solution that may also help get the desktop app to work? The alternative is a painful, blood from a stone exercise in trying to convince Genesys to do something about it which may involved them re-writing the whole app.
