I am currently comparing the results of the API Analytics Conversation Aggregate and Conversation Detail Job, but I have several differences regarding the metrics. Do they have different data sources? Is it valid to compare these results?

Could you provide an example of metrics that are not matching up between an aggregate query and a details query? The accuracy of the aggregate metrics should be attested to by a details query, as long as the two have the same interval and filters.

In your context, the Interactions View pulls it's data from detail records via jobs and the details API.
The performance views pull their data from the aggregate endpoints for the bulk of its data.
The same metrics are counted in both sources, but how someone may get an aggregation from the aggregates endpoint can not be duplicated by running a details query. Your application would have to pull in all the metrics from the detail record and aggregate them by emitDate to duplicate how the aggregate endpoint groups its aggregations.
