Enabling additional media channels

We are having some difficulty getting our media channel types other than phone calls working. There was some confusion on our team on how to go about enabling these, whether it needed to be done on the backend by Genesys, whether they required specific permissions in PureCloud Architect, or if we simply hadn't configured our code correctly.

Email
I know that email is enabled for our application, but we do not have an outbound email address setup for our accounts currently. I had tried to set one up using a work email domain and address, but inside Genesys was told that I had not properly formatted the request. What needs to be done to properly format email requests?

SMS
Talking to our boss it seems like for this we will require a paid service or subscription to enable SMS chatting for our application. Is there anything else we will need to do to make sure that SMS chat will be enabled and working when we get that setup and configured?

WebChat and Video calls
I know that these are enabled inside of the PureCloud website, but I haven't found anything that specifies whether they can be enabled to work inside the embedded framework as well. If you could I'd love some clarification on whether we can use video calls and webchat in PEF and if so, what steps we need to take to properly enable those channel types.
