Event bridge schema change

How frequently does the event bridge integration event schema changes ?
If changed will it be under breaking change?

I am interested in using the event bridge integration. To read the event pay load, if I use schema based approach thinking if that would be stable or It is preferred not to use schema ( I will be coding in .net 6)
