Integration of an External ASR Module with Genesys NLU – Request for Guidelines

Hello,

I am working on an integration where we wish to use our own ASR module while continuing to leverage the Genesys NLU engine.

My goal is as follows:

  • Transcribe the audio using our ASR (ASR is already developed)
  • Send the transcribed text to the Genesys NLU for analysis and intent interpretation
  • Receive the response from the NLU and continue the dialogue within our flow built in Genesys Architect

I would like to get clarifications on the following points:

  1. What are the technical guidelines to follow for such an integration?
  2. What are the recommended endpoints and API mechanisms to interact with the Genesys NLU within Architect (Web Services Data Actions, others)?
  3. What would be the development impacts and workload for setting up this architecture?
  4. Are there any best practices or specific recommendations to ensure good interaction between an external ASR and Genesys Cloud (especially regarding latency and processing delay management)?
