Internal server error with Web Messenger - Bot Connector and Microsoft Power VA Integration

I am trying to implement the blueprint for integrating web messenger with bot connector and microsoft power VA (https://developer.genesys.cloud/blueprints/bot-connector-for-ms-power-virtual-agent/).

I have finished all of the steps given in the blueprint, and the bot always fails when I message it. In trying to see where the error is, I then switch to using the Genesys bots endpoint to message the bot. It returns the following 500 error:



"BYOB customer return validation error - The input field 'errorMessage' is not valid".

I'm struggling to trace where the error is originating from. Is it in the format of the response the bot gives? The setup of the architect inbound message flow? Some step in the python files of the AWS Lambda function? Is it an error the bot is returning?

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.
