New Trigger UI welcome but missing best option

Used triggers for a while and have them stored as data actions to create and modify.

Nice to see create/delete and activation now in the Admin UI. However, why oh why does it not automatically create target as JSON, or give option between older schema format or newer (and far better) JSON format?

      "dataFormat": "Json"
    }

Not looked at what an Edit through UI would do to a pre-existing trigger with JSON format set yet as not at work laptop.
I assume it would not remove the quoted block above.
