I am trying to connect Genesys Cloud with our Ping Federate SSO.
I am not in charge of the SSO configuration from Ping Federate (it is a dedicated team), neither am I an expert in SAML... but there seems to miss some information from Genesys, especially the Partner's Entity ID.
From the Ping Federate documentation:
The published, protocol-dependent, unique identifier of your partner.
For a SAML 2.0 connection, this is your partner's SAML Entity ID. For a SAML 1.x connection, this is the audience your partner advertises. This ID may have been obtained out-of-band or via a SAML metadata file.
For a WS-Federation connection, this is your partner's Realm.
For an OpenID Connect connection, this is the Issuer Identifier of the OpenID Provider (OP).
For an STS-only connection, this ID can be any unique identifier.
Our SSO team told me that this information must be given from Genesys Cloud's metadata (it must be an URL). It is different from the Relying Party Identifier.
Can you please explain to me how can I get this Partner's Entity ID ? Thank you.
