Real Time Participant Data in IVR

We are attempting to obtain participant (attribute) data during a call flow from an external service. It seems that the API calls below doesn't return data while the call is in IVR. I have seen comments in the forum indicating that these endpoints are considered real time. Can someone tell me if they are real time enough to gather information while the call is in IVR. If they aren't able to do so, are there any APIcalls that would have the customer attributes in real time.

GET /api/v2/conversations/calls/{conversationId}
GET /api/v2/conversations/{conversationId}
