Real-time position in queue for web chat

Hi, I've implemented the position in queue in our inbound chat flow and displaying it to users using the send response data block but I guess it is static. Is there a way to make it real-time? Is it possible to update the position's current status?

No, it is not possible to update the position status with Chat.

It should be possible in the future with the new Web Messaging.

There is a Genesys Cloud idea, which appears to have been accepted, to support In-Queue flows for email and message media types.
Once this is implemented, in your in-queue flow, you should be able to request an updated value of the position in queue, and propagate it to the customer via another Send Response block.
