Recommendation on when to use the Genesys cloud and AWS Event bridge integration

I understand that Developers can write custom application to subscribe to events or use API calls and perform any action.
Also I understand we have GenesysCloud <-> AWS Event Bridge integration also available.
wrt Best practises - When should I consider using event subscription to AWS event bridge vs writing direct subscription.
Can you please share some recommendations/limitations or use cases so that decisions can be made as part of solution design ?

Genesys released a great video recently that should give you at least a starting point on this, where they do talk about using notifications vs using AWS Event Bridge
