Remove orphaned phone line

I've used /api/v2/telephony/providers/edges/phones to create a phone, but the properties were invalid resulting in an error. The problem is, it has still created the line, which I can't see a way to delete as /api/v2/telephony/providers/edges/lines/ has no delete method.

Is there a way to remove the line?

I checked with the development team (Edge Infrastructure Services) that owns these services. Normally what is supposed to happen is the line is automatically cleaned up when the station the phone is associated with is deleted. This does not appear to be the case and appears to be a failure.

Since this is not normal behavior you should open a ticket with our CARE support team and they can work with the development team in question to get the line cleaned up. The CARE team should open an internal engineering ticket (called a SERVOPS) and will work to get this assigned to the appropriate engineers. The developer I talked to wants to do some further analysis to figure out why this happened.

I would recommend that when you open the ticket with CARE you:

  1. Provide the link to this forum post as it will provide context to the conversation we had.
  2. Provide the organization id
  3. Provide the phone id
  4. Provide the region that your org is in.
