Updating Genesys to salesforce interaction data

The basic implementation of the genesys embedded client with salesforce allows for the automatic task record update to the WhatId and WhoId fields. Genesys continuously sends in events with that data.

On outbound calls from the salesforce embedded client, we would like to be able to update Genesys system attributes from the salesforce platform. And then allow the events that genesys sends to contain the updated salesforce record IDs for the WhatID and WhoID (related fields) on the task records.

Can we update genesys event fields with this salesforce record ID data?
