Our company is implementing a new Firewall on its network. In order to implement it properly, we would like to have feedback from a Genesys technician on the attached flow matrix. Following some tests done yesterday, we would need more information.
The problem is at level 3 of the attached table.
The problem we are currently facing is an impossibility to perform proxy exclusions on ports (currently we exclude 0.0.0.0 on specific ports) with the new firewalling solution we are going to implement.
The problem is real because of the fact that this DMZ is routed (it must be reachable by users on remote sites). In fact, if a DMZ is routed, with our solution, it participates in all VPNs including to the proxy (if it was not routed we could have considered a live exit to the internet and avoid the exclusion part).
Two solutions are available to us:
- Desired Solution: Proxify the Wan flow for the good functioning of the solution. (after the first test explained above, on the Italian site, it turns out to be inconclusive)
- Exclude all IPs provided by Genesys (hardly feasible according to the mass of IPs)
