WebChat localization configuration

Hi,

Finally I was able to change the language to french following the documentation available, but it did not worked if I select spanish language (english language displayed on the webchat instead).

For french language (successful case) the configuration is the following (short extract of the configuration file):

While attemptiong to change the language to spanish (es), this is not working; the configuration is almost the same:

"i18n": "https://apps.mypurecloud.com/widgets/9.0.014.05/i18n/widgets-es.i18n.json"

Is spanish language available or should I choose other version different (newer than) 9.0.014.05 to have access to the spanish language.

Also tested other languages as Italian (it) and Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR) and also found these languages not working and the webchat appearing in english language.

I don't know for sure if all languages are to be made available on each sub-version. We have notified Product Management about it.

What I could recommend is to use 9.0 as the version.
i.e. https://apps.mypurecloud.com/widgets/9.0/i18n/widgets-fr.i18n.json
9.0 contains the latest version of languages. And I think it is safe to use (even if you are not using most recent version of the Widgets). The trend is more about adding new labels (in language files) rather than removing some.

I have also quickly tried 9.0.014.09. It seems to contain french, spanish, italian and brazilian portuguese - in case you think it is a better fit for you (unless you need some other languages which are not there).

If there is a critical reason not to use 9.0 or 9.0.014.09, I would suggest to open a ticket with Genesys Cloud Customer Care so they can raise this to engineering and check whether there is an issue or not.

Just got the answer.
The Spanish link on version 9.0.014.05 is not working because we didn't have that language support in 9.0.014.05 version.
So you can use the 9.0 version (to get the latest version of language file) which would be the preferred approach I think.
Or use the 9.0.014.09 at minimum as apparently these languages were released in that version - see widgets release notes for 9.0.014.09.
