Category: API
Summary: We will be removing the ability to create outbound emails on behalf of queue when using client credentials
Context: Emails on behalf of queue are only to be sent by an agent today and behave accordingly. This means that we expect an agent to write the email, apply wrap up notes, etc.
Due to a bug, we have found that in some scenarios customers have been able to bypass this restriction and create emails on behalf of queue using client credentials even though this is not a supported feature. This creates issues in the PureCloud platform.
You can request new features using our ideas portal: https://purecloud.ideas.aha.io/ideas/
Impact: Outbound emails created on behalf of queue will stop working when created using client credentials. The API will return 400 at that point.
Date of Change: On Jan 2, 2020
Impacted APIs:
*POST /api/v2/conversations/emails for OUTBOUND direction
