IP Whitelisting - what developers need to know

Category: Integrations, AppFoundry

Summary: The IP Whitelisting feature will allow customers to control access to their Genesys Cloud instance according to the IP address range of the originating user/requestor.

Context: Application developers should prepare to support customers who employ the IP whitelisting feature.

Impact: Custom applications utilized by customers who employ IP whitelisting should prepare to share their CIDR(s) with customers.

The IP whitelist ranges must include all possible public IP addresses that will interface with Genesys Cloud. This includes both agent/user desktop public IPs as well as the public IPs of any service or non-user applications consuming the Genesys Cloud APIs or notifications.

Customers who enable IP whitelisting must add the CIDR(s) associated with their integrated applications in order for the integrated application to function.

Date of Change: No sooner than May 13th, 2020.

Impacted APIs: All

Hi Becky,
As a partner we need to be able to access other orgs to provide support. I suspect once this is implemented it will require us to request IP whitelisting in the same way.
What about the access via Authorized Organizations ?

Thanks,
Jean-Christophe

If a customer enables IP Whitelisting, all public IPs that will be used to access Genesys Cloud must be whitelisted. No exceptions. This includes authorized org access.

Hi Becky, is there any update with the Date of Change?

Thanks,
PW

Hi there PW. We now expect this feature to release in May. I will update the announcement for accuracy. Thank you!
