Description
Genesys is retiring the Legacy Co-browse and Screenshare capabilities including a handful of related APIs which will no longer serve a purpose. When the deprecation period is complete, these features will no longer be accessible from the Genesys Cloud Admin UI, nor can they be proposed during Chat and Voice conversations.

Genesys has replaced the legacy Co-browse feature with an improved Co-browse for Messenger, supporting Web Messaging and Voice.
The Screenshare feature sees very little usage and does not warrant the significant investment required for its continued support.
Change Impact
Co-browse deployments will no longer be able to be accessed or created. When the related Legacy Co-browse and Screenshare permissions are removed, agents will no longer have a way to elevate conversations to these features.
Date of Change
Deprecation (end of support) takes effect immediately.
Removal date is June 30, 2024.
